Memorial Foundation Scholarships

Overview

The Mayor Lizette P. Parker Memorial Foundation is proud to award scholarships to high school students who reside in Bergen County, NJ and will be graduating from a Bergen County high school. 

The application deadline is March 31, 2026.

Available Scholarships

The Foundation offers two scholarships:

  • The Mayor Lizette P. Parker Scholarship – awarded to a graduating senior at Teaneck High School.
  • The Dolores Phillips Scholarship – awarded to a graduating senior attending a high school or residing in Bergen County.

Selection Criteria:

Scholarships will be awarded to applicants who have demonstrated academic excellence and have made substantial contributions to their community by dedicating their time, skills, and commitment.  

Eligibility Requirements

  • Minimum 2.5 GPA out of a 4.0 scale
  • Two Letters of recommendation from a teacher, coach, clergy, etc.
  • Copy of official high school transcript
  • Applicant must be civic-minded and involved in community service
  • The student intends to pursue studies at a four-year accredited college or university.
  • Semi-finalist application must participate in a panel interview
  • Complete a 500-word typewritten essay (please refrain from the use of AI)
  • Submit a completed application including all supporting Documents by March 31, 2026 via email to
